Data Cabling & Structured Wiring Systems Course: 5 Days

Why take this Data Cabling course?

Data Cabling and Structured wiring is not the sort of thing company maintenance or IT staff can generally undertake simply because it crosses a number of technical disciplines and requires some training to be installed correctly, therefore a contractor who offers such services will find they will be in great demand.

Correct installation and termination techniques are vital for installations to be installed quickly, professionally and in compliance with the industry standards.

The course is a mixture of theory, worked examples, practical demonstration and hands on exercises that are used to relate theory to real world scenarios. Upon completion of this course delegates will be equipped with the skills to confidently and successfully install and test a structured wiring system.

Why this time?

Most networking groups don’t offer any structured training for their members, with new members being expected to turn up and network without any skills or knowledge of how to network effectively. Unfortunately not everyone is a natural networker. Most people need a helping hand with understanding how to network effectively and this would of course benefit the individual’s confidence as well as their referral success at networking meetings, that’s what makes us different.

Keep up with innovations and trends in copper cabling installation. This five-day course sets the foundation of a copper-based structured cabling system installation. The course begins with an overview of copper transmission principles, professionalism, and life safety and general industry best practices, as related to copper. A significant amount of course time will then be spent on the industry best practices for the installation, termination, testing and retrofitting of copper cable.

Is this course for me?

This course is open to all. You do not even need any specialist electrical knowledge. However it is also a very useful addition to an electrician’s skillset.
