Studies Prove Honey Is Better Than Drugs

While most of us may be used to reaching for the nasal spray, cold medication, and cough syrup when we're feeling under the weather , research now says HONEY is the best treatment for those common, everyday coughs, sniffles, and sore throats.
A recent meta-analysis in the British Medical Journal revealed that honey was superior to usual care for improving cough severity, cough frequency, and combined symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections.
When compared with medications, honey outperformed common "cough and cold" drugs like diphenhydramine (Benadryl) and was similar to dextromethorphan (Robitussin).
The researchers concluded:

"Honey is more effective and less harmful than usual care alternatives..."
