A. ABOUT Kijabe Kiharu

B. Itinerary
Meet with our expedition crew in Nairobi CBD at Bata Hilton at 0530hrs for departure. Bus leaves CBD at 0600hrs sharp. Late participants will be left. The starting of the hill is from Mai Mahiu/Longonot road near the IDP Camp.
The trek takes 3-4 hours to the top of the first hill. On a clear day the hill rewards with stunning views of the nearby Longonot, Lake Naivasha, Mt. Suswa and Kikuyu Escarpment Further east are views as far as Elephant hill in the Aberdare ranges .Pyrethrum farms are in plenty at this very high altitude.
The descent from this first hill takes another 1 hour with an additional stretch along the railway line to the second hill popular for an old water trail. This is more steep than the first and you need to pack up your energies for this. The end point is at Soko Mjinga on Nairobi/Naivasha highway.
