  1. People management, motivate, and involve the team in decision making
  2. Able to resource and review route to markets as well as optimize investments in the distribution channel.
  3. New business development. Entering into new markets and generating innovative ideas to capitalize on them. Increasing sales coverage area, strengthen presence locally and regionally.
  4. Monitoring and reporting sales processes and activities.
  5. Provide regular reporting and analysis of sales opportunities, monitor individual sales performance and activities across sales and business development.
  6. Work closely with other departments and cross functional teams to review progress, resolve issues and ensure high level of customer satisfaction during sales engagement
  7. Assist in optimizing investment in trade promotional activity growth of more profitable accounts, control of selling, administration costs and other approved accounts such as rebates, discounts, merchandising fees, advertising allowances etc
  8. Audit of client accounts and confirming ability to buy, retention strategies and opportunities for brand exposure
  9. Provide regular reports as required on sales performance, customer and competitors activities and market trends
  10. Analysis: drive key sales analysis, performance tracking, and KPIs. Including, sales force trends and rankings in an effort to identify greater efficiencies
  11. Sales Business Processes: Develop consistent sales process, policies, and rules of engagement and enforce these processes through the Sales Administrator.
  12. Training: educating sales team about FMCG sales process and tools: develop sales training materials, coordinate training initiatives and delivery for sales teams as well as motivating the team and recommend strategies to address areas of weakness.

  • A graduate from recognized university with a degree in a business related field.
  • 10-15 years’ experience in fast moving consumer goods in Kenya, with hand on experience in at least 30 Counties.
  • Proven managerial skills, reporting, experience & social + Professional Network.
  • Works and Manages well under pressure; flexible and adaptable
  • Aggressive, Resourceful, Hard-working and energetic
  • A clean driving license is essential.
  • Availability of product(s) in all listed outlets – no stock outs
  • A focused, motivated & highly energized sales team
