Bestcare Facilities Management is looking for a skilled and experienced Small Engine Mechanic (Diesel & Petrol) to join our growing technical team.

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable technician capable of diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining various small diesel and petrol-powered machines and equipment.

Nairobi and surrounding regions.

Equipment You May Handle

The successful candidate may work on:

Portable generators
Lawn mowers
Brush cutters
Water pumps
Pressure washers
Concrete mixers
Chainsaws
Power sprayers
Small diesel engines
Small petrol engines
Other portable power equipment
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair engine and mechanical faults
Service diesel and petrol-powered equipment
Troubleshoot fuel, ignition, electrical, and mechanical problems
Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections
Replace worn-out or faulty parts
Test machines after repairs
Maintain service records and job reports
Respond to field service assignments when required
Advise clients on equipment maintenance
Ensure high-quality workmanship and safety standards
Requirements

Applicants should possess:

Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Small Engine Repair, or related field
Minimum 2 years experience repairing small diesel and petrol engines
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Good understanding of generators and portable machinery
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good communication and customer service skills
Honest, disciplined, and reliable personality
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
