Sikatopseal-107

SikaTop Seal-107 is a two-component, polymer-modified, cementitious waterproofing slurry used to prevent water infiltration in concrete and mortar surfaces. It is suitable for both interior and exterior use on applications like basement walls, swimming pools, water tanks, and balconies. SikaTop Seal-107 is known for its ease of application, strong adhesion, and ability to tolerate fine cracks.

Mixing

SikaTop Seal-107 consists of two pre-batched parts: a liquid polymer (Part A) and a cement-based powder mix (Part B).

For slurry consistency: The mixing ratio is typically 1 part A to 4 parts B by weight.

For trowelable mortar: Use less of Part A to achieve a thicker mix. The mixing ratio is approximately 1 part A to 4.5 parts B by weight.

Process: Pour about half of the liquid component (Part A) into a clean container, then slowly add the powder (Part B) while mixing with a mechanical paddle mixer at low speed. Add the remaining Part A and continue mixing for at least 3 minutes until the mix is uniform and lump-free.

Timing: Use the mixed product within its pot life, which is about 30 minutes at 22°C.

Application

The process involves preparing the surface and applying multiple coats to achieve an effective waterproof barrier.

Surface preparation:

Clean the surface thoroughly, removing all dust, grease, and loose particles.

Repair and fill any spalled areas or cracks beforehand.

Saturate absorbent surfaces with water to a saturated surface dry condition, ensuring no standing water remains.
