Design and build
Right off the box, the first thing you will notice with this phone is how hefty it is. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro is thick with a sharp and flat edges design. It feels and looks robust and premium to hold. Plus its IP53 dust and splash resistant. Do take note that this doesn’t mean that it’s waterproof, but it should survive accidental splashes or some rain. The phone comes in the colors Graphite Gray, Polar White, and Star Blue. It sports a solid metal chassis with a frosted glass back. This glass back gives off somehow a light effect when moved towards different angles. On the back, are two protruding square camera modules stacked vertically on the upper left corner with an LED flash? Then there’s some Redmi branding below.

Found on the right side are all the buttons, the volume rocker, and the power key, which also doubles as a fingerprint scanner. Meanwhile, located on top is a secondary noise-canceling microphone along with a second set of speaker grills. You can also find here on Redmi Note 11 Pro a 3.5-millimeter audio port and an IR blaster as usual. Now the bottom is also packed with a primary microphone, primary speaker, USB Type C port, and hybrid card plot for a Nano-SIM or a microSD card. As for audio quality, the Redmi Note 11 Pro features a dual stereo setup that can get really loud compared to most smartphones in its price range.

108MP Camera
Checking out cameras of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro it has a quad setup at the back. The same is composed of a 108 MP, f/1.9, 26mm (wide), 1/1.52″, 0.7µm, PDAF primary lens. The other three are an 8 MP, f/2.2, 118˚ (ultrawide), a 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro), and a 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth). Quality-wise you will be impressed. It brings out a lot of details, vibrant colors, and a decent dynamic range in bright conditions. Ultra-wide photos turn out good as well.

If you want the best quality then you can always use its 108-megapixel mode or the Pro mode which also gives quick access to the 108-megapixel lens. Selfies are a result of its 16 MP, f/2.4, (wide) shooter and it does a respectable job. Its videos are capped at 1080p@30fps which is the same quality as those of the main camera.

Display
Flipping upfront, Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro has a similar display to its predecessor. Still very nice to see a 6.67 inches 120 Hertz, Full HD Plus, AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on a mid-range smartphone. The bezels look relatively slim with the call speaker on the top part. And t also has that now normal punch hole notch on the upper middle. You can still hide with a black bar in the settings if you are not a fan of it.

There’s an additional screen protector included in the box. This display is vibrant, sharp, and has nice deep blacks thanks to AMOLED. Viewing angles are great and it’s easily viewable under direct sunlight. There’s an option under display settings to switch the refresh rate between 120 Hertz and the standard 60 Hertz if you want to save more battery life. Also, this phone has a 360 Hertz touch something rate.

Platform and performance
Running the software show of Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro is Android 11 skin with MIUI 13. With this interface come a few upgrades in live wallpapers, privacy features, and overall app performance. Apps are arranged on the home screen, but there’s also an option for an app drawer. Thankfully, there are now lesser ads across the system. There’s also the option to change the control center style if you want the newer iOS familiar look that separates the notifications from the main control center. Yes, iOS!

And with its 128 gigabytes of internal storage, you are left with a useable space of 106 gigabytes out of the box. Yes, you can expand this via a micro SD card for up to one 1TB. In day-to-day experience, the phone will be great, especially for ordinary tasks like taking photos and videos, running social media apps simultaneously, and browsing.

More features
When it comes to biometrics and security, you can unlock the device via the side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and through facial recognition. Both work fast and accurately. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro connectivity features are complete with dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, A2DP, LE, GPS, NFC, and an IR blaster.

Battery
One of the major upgrades that we get on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro is in the battery. Despite getting a lower capacity of Li-Po 5000 mAh, compared to its predecessor it is now well compensated with 67 W fast charging. And yes there’s an adapter and cable included in the box. We are talking fast charging 67W, 51% in 15 min (advertised). Which is Power Delivery 3.0 and Quick Charge 3+.
