We are currently seeking a skilled Kitchen Hood Installation Technician to join our technical team on a part-time and contract basis to support kitchen ventilation installation projects across Nairobi and other regions.

Job Summary

The Kitchen Hood Installation Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and ensuring proper functioning of kitchen extractor hoods and ventilation systems. The role involves safe installation, ducting setup, airflow optimization, and ensuring efficient smoke and odor extraction in residential and commercial kitchens.

Key Responsibilities
Install kitchen extractor hoods and ventilation systems
Fit ducting systems for proper air extraction and discharge
Ensure secure mounting of cooker hoods on walls or ceilings
Connect electrical components safely and correctly
Test airflow efficiency and system performance after installation
Inspect and troubleshoot ventilation issues or blockages
Advise clients on proper usage and maintenance of kitchen hoods
Ensure compliance with safety and installation standards
Carry out maintenance and repair of existing systems when required
Work on scheduled and emergency installation requests
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience in kitchen hood installation or HVAC-related work
Knowledge of ventilation systems, airflow, and ducting installation
Ability to handle basic electrical connections safely
Experience using installation tools and measuring equipment
Understanding of kitchen layouts and ventilation requirements
Technical training in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical fields is an advantage
Ability to work independently on contract assignments
