VACANCIES FOR MUNICIPAL BOARD MEMBERS
Pursuant to the provisions of section 14 of the Urban Areas and Cities Act, 2011, as read with section 14 of the Urban Areas and Cities Act, 2011 and Sections 59 (1) and (2) of the County Governments Act 2012, the County Government of Kiambu invites applications for the following Board Member's positions in the respective municipalities:
Limuru - Three (3) positions
The Members of the Board shall hold office for a term of five years, on a part-time basis. The Functions of the Board shall be as stipulated in Section 20 of the Urban Areas and Cities Act.
Requirements for Appointment:
a) Must be a Kenyan citizen;
b) Must either for the last five years been a resident of the Municipality; or have a permanent dwelling in the respective municipality or must have for the last five years been carrying on business in the respective municipality.
HOW TO APPLY
All applicants should submit their applications together with copies of their detailed Curriculum Vitae with names, address and telephone contacts of three referees, academic and professional certificates, testimonials, letter from the Chief, National Identity Card or passport and any other supporting documents. Clearly indicate the municipality and category applied for both on the cover letter and envelope.

Hand delivered applications should be dropped in the specific box provide at the County Headquarters, County Secretary and Head of Public Service reception, Kiambu between 8:00am and 5:00pmon weekdays.

Applications should reach the County Secretary and Head of Public Service on or before 11th July, 2018at 5:00pm.
Shortlisted candidates will be required during the interview to produce their Original Identity Cards/ Passports, academic and professional certificates, testimonials, valid clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority; the Higher Education Loans Board or the Commission for Higher Education for degrees obtained outside Kenya; the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission; the Criminal Investigation Department and a recognized Credit Reference Bureau in compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
