Education Development Trust is an international not-for-profit organisation with an exclusive focus on education. We invest annually in our programme of education research and this evidence informs policy and practice around the world. We have a long-established presence in Africa – running programmes since 1992 – and have worked with a range of governments, donor agencies and partners to improve education across the continent, delivering short-term consultancy as well as long-term, national programmes. We have specialist expertise in sustainable school system reform at scale – from improving pupil enrolment and retention to training teachers and advising government ministries. Education Development Trust is the lead consortium for implementing Wasichana Wetu Wafaulu (WWW) – let our girls succeed – a project in Kenya which aims to support marginalised girls improve their learning outcomes, complete primary education and transition successfully to a productive and positive next phase. The other partners are: Concern Worldwide, Kesho Kenya, Pastoralist Girls Initiative (PGI) and AMURT. It is implemented in 8 ASAL counties and urban slums in Kenya: Nairobi, Mombasa, Turkana, Marsabit, Samburu, Kilifi, Kwale and Tana River. Education development Trust is sourcing for a finance Assistant to be based in Nairobi

The position will be responsible for supporting all the primary financial and accounting transactions in the organization and ensure financial transactions and records are undertaken and maintained in accordance with internal and external financial requirements and in compliance with the laws applicable in Kenya.
