A small but growing food production and distribution company seeks to recruit an Accountant Qualification Level: Bachelor Experience Level: Mid level Experience Length: 3 years Job Description Responsibilities / Duties: Managing the day to day operations and supervising staff. Handling purchases of ingredients, overseeing production and dispatch of products Handling all financial and cost accounting roles including filling of taxes and other deductions Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls. Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, cash-flow Review payment vouchers & journal entries Review all purchases requests and invoices Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project team in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis Issue project cost reports for review and approval. Maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up. Perform any other assigned role Entry Requirements CPA finalist or CPA (K) holder Proficiency in use of QuickBooks in accounting is a MUST Must have experience in accounts and stock inventory Should be able to manage transactions on a daily basis(printing of invoices , receipts and deliverables) Conversant with accounting software and databases. Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations Should have Tax computation skills Experience in hospitality industry would be an added advantage Have at least 2 years’ experience in an accounting and leadership role Excellent communication skills Excellent motivational and leadership skills Proficiency in computer applications especially Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Internet Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results Entry salary of Kshs. 40,000/- net PLUS commission based on sales.
