West Kenya Sugar Company Limited seeks to fill the following vacancies in
its establishment and invites qualified, competent and dedicated applicants
to apply: Insurance Officer Ref: ILO - 1/2012 Reporting to the Legal Manager, the successful candidate will identify and evaluate risks facing the company to organize the provision of appropriate insurance cover or other appropriate action to protect the company?s assets and operations. He/she will manage recording and processing of all claims made against the company either by third parties or by the company where damage has occurred to any of its insured property or items and assist with continued imbedding of risk management across all company departments. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor of Commerce (Insurance) degree and at least 4 years relevant work experience in a busy insurance company or a busy insurance company of a large manufacturing concern. Possession of an acceptable qualification in insurance such as Associate of the Chartered Institute of Insurance is a must. The candidate must have strong organizing and planning skills, personal work ethic and personal integrity and a certificate of good conduct.
